JONATHAN PICOT
Jonny qualified from the University of Gloucestershire in 2000 having studied Sports Science and Business, however instead of pursuing a career along these lines, decided to further his studies, qualifying as a physiotherapist at the University of Bradford in 2003. Jonny has since achieved post-graduate qualifications at both the University of Bradford and the University of Salford, achieving a Masters with distinction in Advancing Physiotherapy. Jonny is also fully qualified in acupuncture (AACP registered).
Jonny worked at the Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to the level of Senior Physiotherapist, after which he worked for the Nuffield Hospitals in Huddersfield and Leeds, along with carrying out private clinics at local physiotherapy and sports injury clinics. In 2007 Jonny established his own clinic, Farsley Physiotherapy, which grew to a network of seven clinics, known as the Yorkshire Physiotherapy Network (YPN) – one of the most highly reputable physiotherapy companies in Yorkshire. YPN is the preferred physiotherapy provider to Leeds City Council and also works with a number of local companies providing rehabilitative care for employees. In June 2019 Jonny left YPN to enable him to focus on his career in sport.
Jonny has a wealth of experience working in both codes of rugby and has worked for a number of teams including Leodiensians RUFC and at a professional level for Gateshead Thunder RLFC, Halifax RLFC, and Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union. In 2010 Jonny was employed by Manchester United Football Club, and progressed to be one of the First Team Physiotherapists, a position he held for four years. Lockdown allowed for a period of reflection and desire for a lifestyle change, and in 2021 Jonny accepted the role of Head Physiotherapist at Strive Jersey - a new facility specialising in the development of youth and elite athletes, as well as offering fitness expertise to all.
Jonny enjoys maintaining his own fitness levels, regularly competing in triathlon endurance events and has completed many charity sporting events raising money for local causes.

ALEXANDER BUDD
Alex is a fully qualified chartered accountant and works in the financial services industry in Jersey. Alex is an avid sports fan and in particular rugby. He played for Jersey Reds Athletic and has played in 2 siam cups for the club. In 2021 Alex played his last game of rugby for the club after suffering a dislocated knee in a unforeseen freak accident on the field. Alex ruptured his medial cruciate ligament, anterior cruciate ligament and fully torn his meniscus resulting in a bucket handle tear. For the last 3 years Alex has had 3 surgeries in the United Kingdom on his knee to correct the injury and bring him back to full strength. However, it was not an easy journey for Alex.
After each of his surgeries he found he was never able to maintain the care he had received in the hospital post surgery. The key element was his inability to reduce pain and swelling through the application of ice and compression. He found ice packs ineffective and cheap alternatives did not achieve the end result he needed. Alex found himself in a spiral with long consistent pain, inability to undertake effective physiotherapy and unable to do the simple things such as walk down the stairs without wincing. Alex was not just enduring the physical struggles post surgery but also found the mental to be an even greater struggle. He was advised by the surgeon that stress associated with this will slow down recovery and prolong the struggles he endured. It also lead to him getting an infection in his knee through the sustained stress he was putting himself under.
It was post his last surgery he obtained a Cryo Pulse Therapy Machine. It made his third post surgical experience considerably better than the first 2. He was undertaking physiotherapy quicker, happier in himself and had something he was able to use at the comfort of his own home which reduced his pain. It was at this moment he realised through the support of his other team members that we had to prevent other Islanders having the same experience.

MYLES LANDICK
Myles Landick is a former professional rugby player and a respected coach in the Jersey rugby community. His journey in the sport began at a young age, progressing through the mini and junior ranks at Jersey RFC, where he honed his skills and passion for the game. Mylo's dedication and natural talent led him to a professional playing career, representing Jersey RFC at the senior level.
However, his playing career was cut short due to a series of injuries, including five knee operations and a shoulder surgery. It was during this challenging period that Mylo became acutely aware of the importance of recovery and rehabilitation. His commitment to returning to full fitness played a significant role in his recovery journey, and it is an experience that has shaped his approach to coaching and player care.
After retiring in 2015, he transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of Head Coach for Jersey Reds Athletic, which marked the beginning of his coaching journey. His passion for rugby extended beyond the field as he also served as the club’s Head of Grounds for several years, ensuring that the facilities were maintained to the highest standards.
In 2023, he was appointed Head of Rugby at Jersey RFC, where he continues to shape the future of rugby on the island. His leadership, experience, and deep understanding of the game have made him a key figure in the club’s ongoing success.
Drawing on his own recovery experience, Landick is also excited to help the island’s community with the introduction of the Cryopush Therapy machine. He is passionate about enhancing player recovery and supporting athletes in their journey to stay fit and perform at their best.
